What do I need to bring to class?
You will need to bring a mat and towel to class. We also recommend bringing a bottle of water to hydrate after class.
What to expect
The yoga room is strictly a shoe-free and mobile phone-free zone. We ask that you remove your shoes and turn off your phones before entering the practice hall (after scanning the QR code on your phones of course!)
At Jeeva Yoga we encourage lively discussions and are always happy to help answer questions within our ability, we do however ask that these be saved for before or after class.
The yoga practice is more than just a postural practice and bearing that in mind, the yoga hall will be a quiet zone. Those who wish to talk or debrief with friends are welcome to do so in the reception.
What if I am late to class?
Please try to arrive 10 minutes before the start of class. Once the class starts, the main door will be locked so as to not disturb the flow of the class and for security purposes.
Can I leave class before it finishes?
No. For security purposes and the sanctity of the yoga session, you are asked to remain in the practice hall till the end of the class. Please plan your day so that you are able to be in class till it finishes.
Where can I park?
Free parking is available at the rear, entry via Franklin Avenue (click on the link to see map)
What if I forget my mat or towel?
We have some mats to hire for a gold coin donation. We do recommend you bring a towel to put between you and the yoga props. If you forget your towel, you will be unable to use the yoga props.
Can I stay longer in the studio after class?
Once a class is finished the teacher will then proceed to clean and sanitise the floors and other surfaces. During this time if a practitioner wants some quiet time, they are welcome to stay.
Can I get personalised sessions?
Yes, Jeeva Yoga does provide sessions for clients outside of regular studio hours. This can be for rehab, meditation, specific goals in terms of postures or mobility, or simply for having a session that is tailored specifically to you. Contact us to discuss rates.
Can I bring my child to class?
Currently, we have an age restriction of 16.
Can I use my pass or membership for multiple members of my family?
Each membership purchase is allocated to one person and therefore is restricted to that person.
Is there drinking water in the studio?
We have filtered drinking water and we encourage you to bring reusable bottles if you need to drink water. We are committed to working towards being a zero-waste business and do not sell bottled water or keep plastic cups. Please help us eliminate plastic waste.
